Not every reseller manages inventory the same way.
Some sellers want to keep listings fresh and cycling. Others want to build long-term momentum with likes, watchers, and listing history.
For a long time, most tools forced sellers into one workflow or the other.
At Treecat.io, we think sellers deserve more flexibility.
That’s why we’ve introduced two ways to manage quantity listings on eBay.
You can now choose the inventory behavior that best matches your strategy, your category, and how you like to sell.
Prefer a more active listing strategy?
Use the original Store Only Single Quantity Listings-style method.
This keeps inventory cycling and refreshed, which many sellers use to stay active in search and continually reintroduce inventory to buyers.
This option may be ideal for:
DIRECTIONS: To select this option, go to Settings / Profile / Other Settings / Multi-Quantity Handling (from the drop-down menu select "Store Only Single Quantity." Press the blue, "Save Changes" button in the lower right hand corner.)
With Store Multiple Quantities listings, you list your full available quantity and let the quantity decrease naturally as items sell.
This approach can help you:
DIRECTIONS: To select this option, go to Settings / Profile / Other Settings / Multi-Quantity Handling (from the drop-down menu select "Store Multiple Quantities." Press the blue, "Save Changes" button in the lower right hand corner.)
NOTE: Trecat will detect if you have enabled the "activate the "out of stock" option in your eBay site preferences. If you have this enabled, Treecat will keep it listed with quantity 0 and "out of stock." If you do not have this enabled in eBay, Treecat will delist the item when it sells down to 0.
For now, quantity handling on eBay is where this update applies.
Your synced listings on Mercari, Poshmark, and Whatnot remain unchanged.
At treecat.io, we build tools for real reseller workflows, not generic systems.
Because the best inventory strategy is the one that fits your business.
